Top 5 Ideas for Boutique Logo Design

About 78% of people think that logos are works of art. Do you think your business logo is a work of art?

If not, it’s time for a redesign. A boutique logo design has to look like a work of art because that’s what people expect from boutique providers.

There’s a sense of elegance and exclusivity that your logo needs to show. Don’t get nervous, this article has you covered. Keep reading to learn the top tips to create a logo design that stands out.

1. Use the Right Font

The font that you use for your boutique matters. A sans serif font and a signature font are appropriate for boutique logos.

They do convey different things. A signature font conveys a classic style. It would be a good choice for a consignment store or antique shop.

However, if you want to convey something a bit more modern, a sans serif font would work. Marketing firms, boutique hotels, and food brands often use sans serif fonts.

2. Brand Colors

Colors have meaning just like fonts do. Which ones you should use depend on your brand’s attributes and what is important to your target audience.

A brand that emphasizes sustainability can use natural tones, such as light shades of green and beige. There are a lot of boutique logos that use a light shade of blue to communicate trust.

3. Industry Icon

Effective boutique logo designs tell people what your company does. The easiest way to do that is with a picture. You can simply add an icon that tells people what you do.

A boutique healthcare clinic can use a first aid cross as part of its logo. It’s not necessary to be that obvious. A logo design can emphasize the ingredients instead of the final product.

4. Create Several Versions

Take the elements above and put them together into one coherent logo design. Think about where the logo will appear as you design it.

You might print out several copies of the logo to see how it looks on printed t-shirts, pens, letterhead, and business cards. If you plan to use the logo on a banner, make sure the logo design doesn’t get lost.

Try out different versions of the logo. You can have one with the icon on top of the text and another version with the text next to the icon.

5. Get a Second Opinion

You can make assumptions about logo design, but you don’t really know if people will like it or not.

Take your logo designs and show them to people you trust. Find out what versions they like and dislike. This gives you the confidence to know that your logo will hit the mark.

Make a Great Boutique Logo Design

A boutique logo design is essential to help your business stand out. If you want to make a great logo design, follow the steps laid out in this article.

Now that you’re logo’s ready to go, you need to get it out there. Check out the Marketing section of this site to find out how.
